Congratulations on your achievement. This page contains everything you need to know about the RoSPA Awards taking place on Tuesday 10th June, including details for both the daytime and evening events. Please take a moment to review all the information to ensure you're fully prepared. Daytime Awards Ceremony | JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel London – The Ballroom  

The daytime ceremony will take place in the Ballroom, and any number of guests are welcome to attend the daytime presentation, allowing all who have contributed to the organisation's achievements to celebrate their success. Informal seating will be available allowing supporters to watch proceedings, whilst your chosen recipient is presented with the award.

The dress code for the day is smart business wear. No jeans or casual attire.

Timings

9:00 AM – Doors open - Guests are welcome to arrive.

10:00 AM – Registration begins 

All award winners will have received a designated time slot for registration. If you don’t have your time, please speak to a member of the RoSPA team, who will be able to assist.

Note: Only one representative per award will be invited on stage to collect the award. Seating will be available in the Ballroom for your colleagues and team members to join in celebrating your achievement, as it represents a collective team effort.

10:15 AM – 3:30 PM – Awards presentation - Awards will be presented throughout this time.

Additional information:

  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your registration time and wait in the Ballroom for your group to be called to register

  • Help keep delays to a minimum by adhering to the rule of 'one recipient per award'

  • The chosen recipient should report promptly to the registration desk when your group number is called. We will endeavour to present your award within 40 minutes of registration.

Award presentation photographs

The official RoSPA photographers will be on-hand at the ceremony to record award presentations in full colour. Award winners will receive one digital copy free of charge.

You will be supplied with a card on site with a QR code. When you scan the QR code, this will take you to your photographs. Your photographs will be uploaded within 10 working days.

If required sooner, please order an express digital photo for £55, which will be uploaded within three days following your presentation.

Please note that only the official RoSPA photographers will be permitted to take photographs of the award presentations.

Group photographs

Successful health and safety management undoubtedly involves team effort. A great way to recognise the whole team's contribution is with a group photograph. The image will be available via a QR code within three days, making it ideal for immediate use for PR purposes and in-house newsletters.

After collecting your award, please proceed to the group photograph area. Orders can be placed on the day with payment by debit or credit card. If you have pre-ordered, kindly have your confirmation email ready.

Evening Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner

JW Marriot Grosvenor House Hotel, London – The Great Room

Our evening award ceremony and gala dinner is set to be an unforgettable event full of recognition, camaraderie, and inspiration that showcases the collective commitment to safety excellence.

The Great Room, where you will sit to eat, began life as a vast ice rink, where it is said that our past patron, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, learned to skate in 1933. This event provides a wonderful opportunity to honour and celebrate health and safety excellence in a location steeped in tradition and elegance.

Dress code for the event is evening wear, evening or cocktail dress, national dress or uniform.

Timings

5:45 PM – 6:15 PM – Evening Award Winners registration
If you are receiving an evening award during the Gala Dinner, please register at the Buckingham Suite during this time.

6:30 PM – Drinks receptions begin

Please proceed to the designated reception area as indicated in your ticket confirmation email. Be sure to bring this email with you, as it will be checked by a member of the RoSPA team.

Ceremony host: Ed Byrne

Ed is a renowned comedian/presenter and actor. With his TV career now in its third decade, Ed has regularly appeared on the likes of QI, Mock The Week, Alan Davies As Yet Untitled, The Pilgrimage, Dara and Ed’s Road to Mandalay, Dara & Ed’s Big Adventure, The Graham Norton Show and Have I Got News For You, as well as hosting Live At The Apollo and Comic Relief Bake Off. He was recently seen as a contestant on BBC One’s Celebrity Best Home Cook (where he made it to show 5 out of 8 – not bad!) and he has also won (yes, won!) celebrity versions of both The Chase and Pointless!

 
Known for his passion for the outdoors (hill walking and mountaineering are major hobbies), Ed can be seen turning his presenting skills to factual broadcasting in BBC Two’s Volcano Live, World’s Most Dangerous Roads(where he spent two weeks driving through Siberia) and Into The Wild with Gordon Buchanan.

Ed has extended his nationwide tour of British Comedy Guide’s Best Comedy Show 2023, and his most personal show to date, until April 2025, almost two years after he began performing it. From the quote attributed to Mark Twain, humour is defined as Tragedy Plus Time.

With legions of fans both in the UK and abroad, Ed remains the observational stand-up to see.
