What is CDM 2015 in Practice?

CDM 2015 in Practice provides an in-depth explanation of the Construction Design and Management Regulations (CDM) 2015, which replaces CDM 2007. The course presents the specific ‘interactive’ duties CDM 2015 places on those planning, managing, monitoring, coordinating and carrying out construction work.

This online course is a flexible way to understand the CDM 2015 Regulations, key roles, their responsibilities and how to put them into practice.

Why do CDM 2015 in Practice?

The HSE states there was an estimated 79,000 work-related injuries within the construction industry in 2019. Whatever your role in construction, it’s imperative to make sure workers are up-to-speed on the latest regulations and their individual responsibilities. CDM2015 in Practice aims to improve health and safety in the industry by helping you to:

  • Sensibly plan the work so the risks involved are managed from start to finish
  • Have the right people for the right job at the right time
  • Cooperate and coordinate your work with others
  • Have the right information about the risks and how they are being managed
  • Communicate this information effectively to those who need to know
  • Consult and engage with workers about the risks and how they are being managed

Who can do CDM 2015 in Practice?

The course is primarily targeted at people working in key roles as defined in CDM 2015 and their new responsibilities. It’s also suitable for those whose function requires a detailed understanding of these roles and new responsibilities.
