RoSPA launches 2027 Health and Safety Awards
RoSPA has officially launched its 2027 Health and Safety Awards, sponsored by NEBOSH, inviting organisations of all sizes and sectors to demonstrate their commitment to protecting people, preventing accidents and driving continuous improvement in workplace safety.
As well as being an opportunity for health and safety professionals to celebrate the impact of their essential lifesaving work, a RoSPA Award provides independent recognition of an organisation’s commitment to health, safety and wellbeing. This enables them to strengthen assurance, support compliance and effective risk management, enhance their reputation and employer brand and demonstrate continuous improvement to leadership teams and boards.
Beginning in 1956, the annual RoSPA Health and Safety Awards have grown into the world’s largest and most prestigious awards scheme recognising outstanding achievement in health and safety management. With more than 2,000 entries each year from over 60 countries and over 30 industry sectors represented, a RoSPA Award is a global benchmark for excellence, confirming every winner’s commitment to high health and safety standards.
The awards are open to a diverse range of organisations, from major multinational businesses and public sector bodies to charities, SMEs and fleet operators. Categories include Achievement Awards, which recognise overall health and safety performance; Fleet Safety Awards for organisations managing occupational road risk; and competitive Sector Awards, which enable entrants to benchmark themselves against peers within their industry.
Judged by leading safety experts, the RoSPA Awards are a powerful driver of continuous improvement, demonstrating a commitment to keeping people safe that goes beyond simple compliance, evidencing and influencing positive workforce practices and behaviours and increasing organisations’ competitiveness in bids and tenders.
RoSPA’s CEO, Becky Hickman, said: “A RoSPA Award is the world’s most recognised and respected symbol of health and safety excellence. Whether you are a first-time entrant or a long-standing participant, the awards provide an opportunity to benchmark your performance, gain independent recognition and demonstrate your organisation’s commitment to keeping people safe.
“Every year we see organisations from an extraordinary range of sectors and countries sharing best practice and showcasing the innovation, leadership and dedication that help prevent accidents and save lives. We look forward to welcoming entrants to the 2027 Awards.”
