Jo joined the RoSPA press office in 2006 and her role has developed to encompass the charity’s wider communications and policy activities. Public relations (including traditional and social/digital media), public affairs, the Infocentre, journals and policy activities across home, road, leisure, and occupational safety and health come together in RoSPA’s awareness and education department.
In 2016/17, she was responsible for co-ordinating RoSPA’s centenary programme, which included a visit by HRH The Duke of York, a Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace, a public exhibition and an evening reception.
Jo is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), holder of the CIPR Diploma and an accredited PR practitioner. She is also a qualified journalist who worked as health reporter on the Cambridge Evening News. She has a politics degree from the University of Manchester.
She is mum to three boys and the family enjoys taking trips in their campervan or whiling away the hours watching cricket.
