Cross Party Group
RoSPA in Scotland provides the Secretariat to the Scottish Parliament's Cross Party Group (CPG) on Accident Prevention and Safety Awareness. The Convenor of this CPG is Clare Adamson, MSP and the Deputy Convenor is Graham Simpson, MSP. The purpose of the CPG is “to promote all aspects of safety through safety awareness and accident prevention” and as such considers safety issues in the home, on the road, in and around water and in the workplace and any other place where accidents occur. The format of the meetings is to hear short presentations on relevant topics followed by group discussion, questions, comments and suggested recommendations. Further information on the additional office bearers, future meetings dates and the minutes of previous meetings are available at the Scottish Parliament website.
